What can be licensed

  1. Complete visual stories, or excerpts from them.
  2. Graphics and maps we draw ourselves.
  3. Motion and animation we produce.
  4. Written texts and explanations.

What is ours and what is not, in plain words

  1. What we make ourselves, stories, texts, graphics and maps, belongs to UNPLANNED MEDIA, unless stated otherwise.
  2. Pictures and footage made by others remain theirs; we use them as their licences allow, and name their owners.
  3. A story of ours may contain pictures by others; those pictures stay under their own licences.

Pictures and footage that belong to others remain under their owners' licences, and we name those owners on the picture credits page. Public-domain material can be obtained directly from its source.

What we need to know

So that you get a clear answer, tell us in your message:

  1. The story or graphic you want, with its link.
  2. Where it will appear: the website, channel or publication.
  3. The languages and countries the use covers.
  4. How long you need it for.
  5. And whether the use is editorial or commercial.

The terms of every licence are agreed with the person making the request; nothing on this page is an offer or an agreement.
